Using the app

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in and nothing to register. Your history lives on your device and syncs through your own private iCloud if you are signed into it.

I logged a drinking day. Did I lose my progress?

No. Your current run starts again, but every alcohol-free day you have logged stays counted — in your lifetime total, your monthly figures, your money kept and your Marks. That is the whole point of the app.

Can I change a day I already logged?

Yes. Open My Journey, tap the day in the calendar, and choose again. All the figures recalculate.

I got a new phone. Where is my history?

Sign into the same Apple ID with iCloud enabled and it will sync across. If it does not appear, check iOS Settings → your name → iCloud and confirm iCloud Drive is on for CLEARSTILL. We have no server-side copy to restore from, by design.

Can I get my data out?

Profile → Data & privacy → Export produces a JSON file with your days, cravings, Marks and favourites, which you can save or send anywhere.

CLEARSTILL Plus

What is free?

Logging days, every progress figure and statistic, the calendar, craving support, tonight planning, morning check-ins, all twenty Marks, and seventeen Drink Lab recipes. None of it ever checks whether you have paid.

What does Plus add?

The remaining twenty-three recipes, the Patterns screen — what your own history says about your days — and the morning comparison.

How do I cancel?

iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CLEARSTILL. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the period you paid for ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

I want a refund.

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com.

I paid but Plus is not unlocked.

Open the paywall and choose Restore Purchases, making sure you are signed into the Apple ID you bought it with. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase and we will look into it.

Privacy

Can you see what I write?

No. Notes, reasons and check-ins never leave your device except through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what does leave.

How do I delete everything?

Profile → Data & privacy → Erase everything. It removes all of it from the device and syncs the deletion through iCloud. It cannot be undone.

Something is wrong

Bug reports are welcome, and so is copy that reads as judgemental — that is a bug too. Tell us your iOS version and what you were doing: hello@clearstill.app.
